Can't get system restore to go back to may restore point

I have been trying to get my computer to restore to May
restore point, and system restore runs, but I keep
getting the message"computer cannot be restored to May,
25. No changes have been made to your computer." Does
anyone know what the problem is, and how I can get my
computer to restore to that date?

Have you made any changes to your computer since May 25?
Not just downloading files, but installing programs and
updates too.

You may not be able to.
There may be corrupted data in system Restore.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.
