Can't create new appointments in MS Outlook 2003 Calendar

Hi, I'm using MS Outlook 2003 and for some reason I'm no longer able to
create new appointments in the Calendar. It was working fine yesterday.
Outlook was just installed a week or so ago (from a server by an IT admin;
it's a work account) and I barely have anything in there, so it's not a
matter of the file size. I get no error message or any indication that
something is amiss. When I right-click (or select "new appointment" from the
file menu or the "new"..."appointment" button) and select "New Appointment"
nothing happens; no dialogue box, no error message, nothing. I've tried
closing out of the program as well as running the "detect and repair" option
from the help menu, both to no avail. Any suggestions?

Have you completely closed and restarted Outlook?

I have a similar issue but closing outlook does not work. I have cleared the forms cache as well with no luck.

I just had this happen to one of my users and there was a hung instance of Outlook running in the background. Killing the second OUTLOOK.EXE process fixed the issue. I guess a restart would work too :)
