Can't access options

Markus

When I try to access the options in excel to change them I
get an error saying "cannot access directory 'y:\\saved
documents\excel\application data.'" How can I fix this?

Just in case it helps, for some reason the working
directory in access was set to another destination on a Y
drive (which I don't even have).

I was having this same problem, and there is actually a very quick fix:

1. Click "Start" and then "Run"
2. Type "regedit"
3. Browse to the key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Excel\Options
4. Modify the keys "DefaultPath" and "Autorecover" with the ne
paths.

This will solve your problem.
