Can't access hidden files in "Temp Internet Files" folder.

I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack 2.

Norton software found an "adware file" located in C:\documents
Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files.

Norton said I had to manually delete this file. In trying to do so, I could
not view the folders and files that are hidden within this folder. I did
click on this folders Properties and it does show 10 folders and 500 files
within this "Temporary Internet Files" folder.

In trying to view these files, I went into the "Folders Options" and clicked
the "Show Hidden Files & Folders" option and un-clicked the "Hide Protected
Operating System Files" option. I still could not view these files.

How can I get access to the hidden files within "Temporary Internet Files"
folder so that I can delete this adware?

Try clearing the TIF completely.

1. Start Internet Explorer
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the General tab.
4. Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files.
5. When you are prompted to delete all temporary Internet files, click OK.

I would advice you to first boot into safe mode and run your antivirus and
spyware detector program(s)
If they do not remove the file you can then attempt to manually delete the
them.
It's possible the adware was running while you were trying to delete the
files in "normal mode" that may be what was preventing you from deleting
them
Also check the folder containing folder properties and make sure read only
is not check, you make have to check it and uncheck.
I hope this helps
