Canon BJC-5100

Just inherited a Canon BJC-5100 printer, yip I know it's old but it does
A3 which is what I need at the moment.

Anyone got any advice about it's quirks or any tips to get the best out
of it?

Been attached to a W2k box.

A fine printer... was sold at a very good price.
Unfortunately, Canon failed to support this printer. When I upgraded to a
new computer (with XP) in 2001, I found that Canon did not have an XP
driver for this printer, and still has yet to develop an XP driver for it.
I had no choice but to purchase another printer. Of course, I now refuse to
buy anything CANON because of their policy of not supporting their products.

After few days testing this printer in Win 2K and Win XP Pro (I just
used the 2k driver). Seems a solid enough printer for basic draft work,
cartridges are reasonably priced as well. All in all for free I can't
complain ) Thanks for the reply...

Canon DOES support thier products, they just dont blast
out a new driver every time a field mouse farts... that
printer works just fine with the 2k driver in XP... So
why would they build a new driver????
