Cannot send a page or link from Internet Explorer to Outlook

When I select "Send a link or page" in Internet Explorer, I get the message
"The operation failed." I am using Internet Explorer version 6 and Outlook
version 2003, sp 1. Thanks for any assistance.

go to IE's tools, options and set OE as the default and apply, then set
outlook.
