cannot open control file

I have problem launching crystal report compiled reports (seagate
software distributed reports) using local user id. It returns the
following error :- cannot open control file. There is no problem
launching the report using id with local admin.

I have given Everyone full access to all keys in the registry, as well
as winnt/system32, and crystal report folders, but problem still
persist. I need to launch the report using local users. Please advise
someone!

Thanks

I would download FileMon and RegMon from
http://www.sysinternals.com/. Run them as administrator (when no
user is connected), start a TS session as a normal user and try to
run the application.

FileMon and RegMon will show you all "access denied" errors that
occur, so that you can give your users the necessary permissions on
a file-to file or Registry subkey basis.

Hi Vera,

Thanks for the input. However, I am not accessing via Terminal service
nor Citrix. In fact, I am running the report locally, from the
workstation. Therefore, I need to log in as a normal local user to the
workstation before I could launch the report. Anyway, I am unable to
execute the FileMon and RegMon as normal local user logon due to
insufficient permission.

Thanks

Then you are posting in the wrong group. This is a Terminal Server
newsgroup. I'd search Google to find the best forum for Crystal
report problems.
A forum on businessobjects.com is probably best.
