Cannot Complete the Save Movie Wizard - Windows Movie maker

I've been putting a movie together made up of video and stills. It's taken 2
weeks to get it all together and is quite important, but now I've run into
the problem in the title when I try to save it.

Windows Movie Wizard suggests 3 possible problems:

Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available
- I've done this and everything is still in the place that I imported them
into Movie Maker from. This is evidenced by moving a file from the source
location and a red cross appears on the storyboard. When I rereturn the file
to its original location the red cross disappears and the file is identified
again. I have no red crosses in my storyboard.

The saving location may not be available - I've tried to save to my hard
drive and a CD with no success.

There may not be enough disk space available - The movie will take up 355Mb
of space. My hard drive has 279Gb of sapce free.

Other information that may be of use:
the video is about 42 minutes long
it contains JPEGs, Music files and video files
during the making of the movie I had some problems with other appplications
(logitech Webcam) and had to do a system restore. When I returned to movie
maker non of the collections were in Movie maker and I had to re-import them.
This meant that Jpegs and music files didn't end up in the same place in
Movie Maker, though I can't see how this should cause a problem.

I'm pretty frustrated by this and wonder if anyone has a solution that will
allow me to save the movie successfully.

Thanks

Pete

Hi Pete,

It's a common issue.... sometimes the message isn't right and the real
reason is related to the amount of memory your system needs to render the
movie, or the type of source files you're using, or???

See the Problem Solving > Can't Save a Movie page of my site.
