Cannot Browse Trusted/Trusting Domain

Although it seems the trust relationship is working (I can logon to an NT4DOMAIN using a W2KDOMAIN account and visa versa), I cannot actually see the other domain listed in Network Neighbourhood / My Network Places.

If I search for the servers by name they are not found unless I've added them to LMHOSTS, but I can find them if I use the IP address, which implies a name-resolution issue, and not being able to browse them implies a Computer Browser issue.

I can connect and browse the servers once they are found in the search.

The DNS and WINS servers are in the W2KDOMAIN and I've set the TCP/IP WINS tab to use the server and also enabled NetBIOS over TCP/IP.

I would guess that these are inter-related issues and if I can solve the underlying problem they would both be fixed. Only thing is, I don't know how to solve it.

Anyone have any ideas or things they'd like me to try?

I had a WINS database get fouled up and it was easily fixed by deleting all
the entries listed in the WINS DB and then just wait a little while and it
will rebuild itself. Make sure all machines involved actually use the same
WINS in there network settings.

Hello,

The easiest way with the least administrative overhead would be to set up
WINS push/pull replication between the two domains.
