Can you launch multiple instances of Powerpoint 2003?

Hi. I still have Powerpoint 2002 for XP. I'm wondering why Powerpoint is
the only application that cannot launch multiple instances of itself. I
can do this in Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. What's the deal with
this and has Powerpoint 2003 lifted this artificial limitation?

Have you ever monitored your system while running a presentation? In most
presentations you will see points where the system resources and CPU are
maxed out. Once the CPU is at or near 100%, anything else added to its work
load will bring it to it's knees.

Hello Gabby,

Hello,

PowerPoint does not currently have the capability that you are looking for.
PowerPoint is a single instance, multiple-document application.

I am curious to understand why you think that PowerPoint should be a
multiple instance application (instead of single-instance, multiple
document application). What problem would that solve for you?

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have some reasons why you
think that PowerPoint should be a multi-instance application, don't forget
to send your feedback to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
