Can this registery entry be safely removed?

I have Windows XP Home and I use Spybot S&D and it keeps identifying this
registry entry as spyware; Huntbar:Global settings
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\BTIEIN. I have located this registry key using
regedit. Can I safely delete this entry? Is this entry part of something
important? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

This is a spyware application associated with the Huntbar parasite.

I've managed to delete most of the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\BTIEIN, it wasn't easy I had to change
permissions giving myself permission to edit it and still that wasn't easy,
it was still reluctant to turn over control. In the registry there is still
a folder?\key for BTIEIN but when expanded there is nothing in it but it
still will not let me delete this last folder. Will this be any problem or
have I exiled the worst of it? (everything in this folder HAS been deleted)

Hopefully this will take care of the problem. Keep an eye on that key for a
while.
