can Thermaltake Xaser III's temperature monitor be recalibrated

can Thermaltake Xaser III's temperature monitor be recalibrated, because its
a few degrees out, when
compared to the sensors on my motherboard (mobo=47 Thermaltake=50). I know
that MAX and MIN temps can be changed, but I wondered if there was a POT on
its PCB to calibrate the temperature reading from the cpu.

In reality, it might be the motherboard temps that need recalibrating. I'd
sooner beleive the Thermaltake's sensors to the motherboard's any day.

I think the motherboard does a better job, I am sure that thermaltake picks
up the heat from my graphic card,, giving more of a case temp rather than
cpu temp.

Today the hottest day in the year in the UK (almost hitting the record I
believe). my thermaltake registered
63 degreed when playing quake3 at high res (63 being my alarm setting),
motherboard says cpu is around 57 max.

Here in Arizona I get MB=32°C, CPU=54°C; and I wasn't much higher than
that last week when I lost both the MB and back-case fans.
(Front-case, PSU and CPU fans were still running.)

today its about 53c(cpu) and the outside temp is about 31c. The average however is 51c(cpu).
I wonder if I should replace the standard AMD fan and improve airflow.

anyone had experience with the Thermaltake GIANT II Highest Performance Cooler. I thought of replacing the
fan of my generic radeon 9800 pro... its when i play games in full res in this heat it gets up to 63c

any ideas
