Adobe Photoshop what? CS? Elements 2? When did you install? Are you on XP
with SP1 or SP2?
We need a little help from you here to try to figure out why the "fix" from
Microsoft, all of a sudden does not work for you, when it has worked for
everybody.

Well, I have Photoshop 7 and I am on SP1. No problem here. These cannot be
the cause of your problem. You are the first person reporting that the
Microsoft fix for your problem does not work. And believe me, we have
answered this question here a million times (well maybe not a million!) and
it as always worked. So I don't really know what else I can suggest. Maybe
somebody else.

(878461) Pictures do not appear as expected,
or you receive an error message when you open
an HTML file on a Windows XP Service Pack
2-based computer http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=878461
cant save as jpg-? ...
I have the same problem and dont know a cure...but, if I delete the stuff
from the bottom that is delete-able,cut and paste the info from the header,
like "lsmft.jpg" and ignore the "save as bmp" it is saved as a jpg..
