can I embed video in the h.264 video file format in a powerpoint

I want to use h.264 instead of a flash file format for the video I have
embedded in my powerpoint. Is this possible, and if so, how do I do it?
Thanks.

Have you tried inserting it in the normal way? (Insert > Movies and Sounds)

Are you saying that H.264 is supported, or are you just suggesting I give it
a try? Since I'll have to get my clips converted to H.264, I'd prefer to know
before going to the trouble.
Thanks.
BTW, with Flash, i'm going in through the contol toolbox and using Active X
Shockwave Flash Object.

In honsety I've never had a resason to use H.264 in a presentaion so I can't
really say yes or no. I guess someone always has to be the first and this
time it looks like it's you. <g>
