Can any of the files in c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution be deleted.

I have 1 file called ReportingEvents.log and the following Folders (6):
AuthCab, SelfUpdate, DataStores, WebSetup, Download, and WuRedir.

To delete the log you need to go to task manager sort by description end process application experince end process background intelegence transfer and then group policy service to end group policy right click it the go to process and end svchost that is highlighted then go back to group policy and it should be ended then you will be able to delete the reportingevents.log this caused a bunch of problems with my computer speed make sure if you have 2 software distrubution folders to delete one of em completely the one with only 5 folder's in it and copy the reporting events log via right click copy and paste it into the good software distrubution folder.
