Can contact be listed in multiple contact sub folders?

Can a contact be associated with multiple contact sub folders such that when
a change is made to the contact the information will be available when the
contact record is opened in any sub folder? The reason for asking is that it
would be nice to list a contact in a business sub folder and a friends sub
folder. I know categories can be used to sort data but I thought it would be
good to have info sorted into nested layers of subfolders.

Thanks,
Steve

No. Not the way you want to have them update automatically. "Associated
with" is a term Outlook doesn't understand. A Contact is IN a folder or
more than one folder (more than one copy of the Contact).

You're on the right track with Categories. That's the way to do it. Turn
on your Advanced toolbars and experiment with the Field Chooser, Group By
Box and the views you can make to see the Contacts the way you want to see
them. You'll need to Start with Phone List View not Address Cards.
