Can a VPN connection be used as a VPN server interface?

Here's my situation:

I have a Windows 2000 Server hosted at an ISP. That machine acts as a
VPN server for a machine at my home. My home development 2K3 server
makes a VPN connection to the 2K server and upon being assigned a
legitimate IP address now looks to all the world like it is a fully
capable internet server. It serves web pages, responds to FTP
requests and serves as an Exchange Server.

I need to travel and would like to VPN using my laptop into my server
at home. When I go through the VPN setup it never show my VPN adapter
as being a choice for a VPN server, even though I have used that
connection to remote desktop in on several occasions.

Is there any way to make this work or is the virtual nature of the VPN
connection going to preclude me from setting it as the VPN server
adapter?

TIA

you need to setup a VPN Server at home. Then create a connectiod in your
laptop and give the IP address of your home server to connect. It shoudl
work

What is the error you are getting?

Apparently it works without having to specify an inbound adapter.
When I attempted to set it up initially it told me I did not have two
network adapters and so I had to use the "Custom" configuration. I
decided to just test it and it worked even though I never was able to
tell it to use the VPN adapter as its inbound connection.

Thanks for your time.
