Buttons not displayed when selecting data in pivot table

Hello Everybody,

Working in a Helpdesk, we received a call yesterday from a user in Japan who
has a problem with a pivot table. He's using XL2003 with WinXP SP1.

The problem is that he wants to uncheck some data that he doesn't want to be
displayed in his pivot table. So he clicks the little drop down menu beside
the field name and uncheck the data that he doesn't weant to be visible. The
problem is that the OK and CANCEL button are not displayed at the bottom of
the list with all the data... but if he clicks where the button should be, it
is still working?! So it looks like a display issue.

I already had a look in TechNet and on these newsgroups but didn't find
anything. Excel has already been reinstalled.

Would anyone know where I could start looking? I've no clue what could cuase
this issue.

Thanks in advance

I have the same problem with XL2002 SP3. I have also
reinstalled XL and my laptop with no success. Our
Helpdesk neither have a clue what is wrong. I am a user
in Sweden pretty far from Japan.
I'm sorry not having a solution but now you know that
this is not a specific problem for your user. I would be
happy if someone else knows what to do.

best regards

krister
