Burning music from YouTube to a CD; can it be done? How?

If you save it to your computer hard disk drive - you can then technically
do whatever you want - edit, save to CD, copy to USB drives, put it on a web
site, etc. I don't know the non-technical aspects of doing such things -
but technically - once it is on your computrer, saved as a file - you can
likely do whatever.

You'll need to google for a way to save files from YouTube (I know firefox
has extensions that do it - surely there are other ways) and then a way to
burn CDs.

You might check out http://keepvid.com/ but for the life of me I don't see
why it's worth cluttering up a drive with that stuff; just keep the links
handy instead. The links won't be going away anytime soon.

My plan wasn't to fill my hard drive with music from YourTube; I would like
a few tunes that are there.
I'm seventy-six and want a few old tunes; our daughter, sixteen is the Ipod
user.

Great answer. I use a little freeware app that will save streaming audio as
mp3 files. I can then burn the mp3's to CD or convert them to audio CDs if I
wish . Here is the app I use audio record wizard

but there are others including TotalRecorder

Well, never say never I guess; sorry, I assumed you were going after the
videos themselves. If all you want is music, there's a great app called
Audacity that lets you record sound from just about anywhere on your
computer including coming from web sites. Has a handy "what you hear"
setting that's useful. It's free, supported and easy to use.
