Had same problem. 2 ways to do this. Movie Maker 2
cannot does not create MPEG II files directly. MPEG II
is what your DVD player to read. Normally what you
would do then is to output your movie in .avi format. If
you have DVD creation software, though, odds are it will
not be able to read your Movie Maker .AVI files. Movie
maker outputs .AVI in Type I, which most DVD programs
(which convert first to MPEG2 format) cannot convert type
I only type II. (Solution 1) by Sonic MyDVD, which can
read Type I files or it can read Microsoft's proprietary
video format. It costs $50 or less. People say it
works. (Solution 2) find a program that coverts your .AVI
file from type I to Type II so that standard DVD and MPEG
conversion files will work. See
