Boot Configuration Error

Hello. I was a WinME user, installed on my 'C:' drive. I upgraded to
WinXP_Pro as a dual boot on my 'D:' drive. I subsequently deleted WinME from
my 'C"' drive. Everything ran perfectly for seven months. I experienced a
write-through failure on my 'C:' drive causing excessive Q length and memory
swap errors. So, I bought a new 60Gb drive to install as slave. I swapped
jumpers, cables between both drives (C: becomes slave, D: becomes master).
Now I get a configuration error and I can't boot. I think my boot.ini file is
pointing to the old C: drive and not to where WinXP is installed. I am able
to boot into my old configuration using the original drive, however, major
delays, corrupt files, etc. Does anyone know how I can transfer configuration
info from C: to D: and make D: the boot drive? Thanks to everyone who reads
this. David
