Blue Screen - page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

Oy! I am getting a Blue Screen error msg "at12dvag.d77
page_fault_in_nonpaged_area" etc. It goes on to say "disable B105 memory
options such as caching or shadowing".

What do I know about these things...Nothing! All help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Fran

The error code (something like this 0x00000050) is very important for any
blue screen errors the next time it happens write it down, but have a look
here:

Unfortunately, a page_fault_in_nonpaged_area can be caused by several
things.

Good Luck.

Hi Fran, a few posts below yours I saw that someone else is having the same
troubles and the advice given was to test your ram. They are free tools to
do this you might want to scroll to the other post titled "page fault stop"

Here is a link for a ram tester.

I'll bet money the text above is really "ati2dvag.dll", which controls
your graphics hardware. Problems there are often solved by just
fetching the latest driver. Go to www.ati.com and chase links from their
"drivers" menu to get what you need.

Nice catch!

Maybe ,but don't count on it. It may be other code stepping on ati code. I haveseen very few bad ati drivers.
That is why they need to fix verifier.exe

What does "That is why they need to fix verifier.exe" mean...in language a
novice can understand?
Who is "They"?

Right or wrong I did a restore to a point prior
to getting the Blue Screen. So far no more blue! I went to device
mgr>display adapters & only MU1 was there. I could not find that anywhere at
ATI's driver area for downloads. Any advice where I go from here?
