Blank IE page when clicking hypertext link

I clicked a link from my update screen in my antivirus, to get updates, IE
opens, but no page loads. I have found this to also happen when I click links
within emails or newsposts, and in other software. How do I get IE to go to
the page when I click these links? Thanks.

Hi Stacey :)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, which really is a
must when asking for help in the newsgroups, but, try the following as it
may apply to your OS and see if it helps:

Blank - Empty - White Pages

Go to Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom Levels> Check to Enable "Allow
META Refresh."

Go to Start>Run> and register the following dll's by using
regsvr32 command. Try the first 2, then see if it resolves the problem. If
not then register the rest of the .dll's:

Enter each command one at a time and hit enter after each one. You should
see a message box that say it has been registered successfully.

regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 scrrun.dll
regsvr32 msxml.dll
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 browseui.dll
regsvr32 msjava.dll

If that doesn't work, then check out the following article and do the
additional steps outlined
there:
