BEST PRACTICE for MSAS: Spyware Detected, Use QUARANTINE

If Microsoft AntiSpyware BETA1 detects a file or suspected spyware
application that it recommends to remove, use the drop down window and
choose QUARANTINE. Unless you are 100% certain that what has been
detected is malware or a malware related setting it is best for most
Users to move the detected object into QUARANTINE. This way you'll have
a backup in case of a False Positive and your system will not be hosed.

Either post to an appropriate newsgroup to inquire about said spyware,
do a search on Google, or go to a well-known spyware forum and don't be
afraid to inquire about it. The system you save may be your own.

.
Do quarantine and remove have the same effect on the
suspected spyware? If so then what is the advantage of
removing it completely?
PS: I'm sorry if this seems like a stupid question ;)

Effectively they are the same, the suspect file is unavailable.
If you are unsure, send it to quarantine until you verify whether it is good
or bad.
If it turns out to be bad, delete it from quarantine.
Once it is determined to be bad, there is no good reason to keep.
