PowerPoint2003 on WinXP Pro SP2: I have an avi file with
cvid Cinepak Codec. It plays fine from a Windows Explorer
double-click, and from a Command prompt mplay32.exe
execution. But when I insert it into a ppt slide it will
not play. The path/file name length is less than 128
characters (it's about 50). I had the same problem under
WinXP SP1. I have swapped the Cinepak Codec dll (version
1.10.0.11). I have updated the video driver. I have copied
the avi file to another WinXP Pro SP2 PowerPoint2003 PC
and it plays correctly in ppt, so the problem is isolated
to this particular PC. I've exhausted research and don't
know where to turn next.
