avi file in slide show works save as web avi does not play

I have a PowerPoint presentation with avi files they play fine in the slide
presentation with auto start/rewind. When save a web page the avi are saved
in the dir and can play them but they will not play on the web page

Hi jav,

AVI is not a streaming video format. You should try WMV instead.
1.Convert avi files to wmv videos,
2.Delete avi files from your Powerpoint presentation,
3.Insert wmv files to your Powerpoint presentation by Insert->Movies &
Sounds >Movie From File

Now you can save it as web pages.

Thanks Karl

Like your WEB site will need that type of program when presentation is
complete

Converted all Camtasia Video to WMV still haveing the same problem
Tried using the Custom Animation setting, smaller file size
I tried making a two slide show with only the WMV on luck
any sugestion

No, I have one slide with the wmv video imbeded in the slide set to auto play
with a title heading, the first slide one hyperlink to slide two that is set
to auto play, as you know it works fine in power point, will i have to write
park this in front page

As I had tested, the video can play automatically if you view the slide in
fullscreen. Otherwise,you need to click on the image to let it play.
You can try to start with the file fullscreen.htm.
