Autoplay Won't Stick

I have to define the action for my CD player to take when a music CD
is inserted every time I reboot.

During a new reboot period, the function works fine, but after another
reboot, the choice box comes up with the correct function highlighted
and the "every time" option checked.

How can I get the silly thing to remember without asking for
confirmation every time I reboot?

Dick, when you right click the CD drive, click properties, and autoplay, be
sure to remove the check mark on - Prompt me each time to choose an action.
