Automatic Outlook Profile Creation

Hi --

I'm looking for a way that I can automatically create profiles for my
users. Essentially I want to store all of the info in a database and
then generate some kind of configuration file that Outlook or Outlook
Express could read and configure the profile automatically for my
users.

Is this possible? If so, can someone give me some info / samples on
how to do this?

Thanks,

Jason

Since you did not state your version of Outlook/Office, you will need to see
which version of the Office Resource Kit you must use - see
http://office.microsoft.com for the proper version of the resource kit that
contains information about creating profiles from a file.

Basically I need to create a PRF file that is generated on the fly for
my users to just update the outgoing mail server settings for already
present profiles? --- That is really what I'm trying to accomplish.

What I'm mainly asking is...

1. Can one PRF be created for Outlook 2000, Outlook XP, Outlook 2003
and Outlook Express - or do I need to create different PRF's for each
version?

2. Where can I find a sample PRF for those versions? I've looked
everywhere and I can't find them.

3. What is the easiest method of installing the PRF into Outlook or
Outlook Express if there may be different profiles already enabled?

Any assistance here would be very much appreciated!

Thanks!

Outlook Express doesn't use profiles.
