Automatic Margins in Powerpoint

How on earth do u get rid of the margins powerpoint puts onto documents? They dont show on the screen but when i print there always there! Im using Powerpoint 2000

If you click "File", "Page Setup", you will see that the slide size is 7.5 x
10 (which gives you an automatic 0.5 inch margin on each side). However,
your printer can not get much (if any) closer to the margin so if you try to
change the setup to 8.5 x 11 you will lose the edges that your printer can
not get to. Just a thought!

Thanks for yr reply, i guess this means there is no way of getting rid of this 0.5 inch margin

What printing companies do is set the size of the paper to a higher size,
print the documents, then cut off the excess. However, that is way too much
work for the average Joe! You can try setting the size slightly higher to
see how much your specific printer can handle. But, there will always be
some "white" margin area. Of course, you could buy a high-dollar color
laserjet printer that can get as close as 0.3 or maybe 0.2 inches from the
margin, then you can change the slide size to something like "7.9 x 10.4" or
"8.1 x 10.6".
