Automatic division of all input by 100

Whenever I type any number in an excel cell it automatically converts it to a
number which is a 100th of what I originally inputted. For example, if I
write "1" and press enter, the number which then appears in the cell is
"0.01". The only way I have found to get around this is to type in "=1", but
it's UNBELIEVABLY annoying, especially when you are copying and pasting
thousands of data points from other programs into a spreadsheet. I have
searched through every option I could find and the help menu and have found
no solution to this problem. Please help!

Thank you!

In Excel 2002 or 2003, click on Tools | Options | Edit | uncheck the
"Fixed decimal places" box | OK.

Never mind. After weeks of torment I have figured out the problem. Someone
had changed a setting in Tools-->Options "Fixed Decimal Places" from 0 to 2,
although, I never would have guessed that fixing the decimal place from 0 to
2 would do that.
How inane.

No help needed.
