I've been trying to follow some of the vbscripts in order to automatate the
selection of 'use this connection's DNS suffix in DNS registration' in the
LAN settings. However, I've found that there is a bug with XP and XP SP1 that
stops the code on the MSDN guides from working.
I found an KB article explaining why and showing a different code that
should work - http://support.microsoft.com/?id=834440. However, when running
this code it terminates on 'Type mismatch: 'SetAdapterInfoInRegistry'' on
Line 29 Char 3.
Can anyone tell me why or explain how to adapt the code to make this work?
Unfortuantely at the moment I cannot upgrade the PC's to SP2 (which fixes the
problem) because I have some applications that are not compatible.
