Audio MP3 Slide Wont Automatically Advance Slide

Scott

I'm using MP3 files in my PowerPoint presentation. If
you start the music from the beginning of the MP3 file it
runs and advances slides perfectly, However if you say
(Start playing song 20 seconds into the song) the slide
will not advance on it's own. The only way I can get it
to advance is with a DOUBLE CLICK of the left mouse
button. I have 3 songs that I start playing somewhere
other than the beginning of the song and all "3" need
this double click to keep the slide show going.. Any one
have any ideas what the problem might be.

Thanks, Scott

See if putting 999 in the "stop playing after" box helps.

ISTR there's an issue with this in PPT 2002 (aka XP), though. You might
just want to edit the sound in a sound editor and be done with it.

Also converted these to WAV files and still did not work.
Downloaded a Sound Editor and stripped off the beginnings
of the 3 songs in question and saved them as new files.
This worked fine (starting from the beginning of the song
after stripping what I didn't want).... The problem of
starting a song after the beginning must be a BUG in
Powerpoint.
