Was quite happy reading the speed boosts for the 5850 cards, that is until I read about the fix drivers for the 6000 range. :)

Did you know that with the release of the Nvidia 580 Series you can pick up a hot, noisy, power slurping 460 card for around £120.00 now?

Would suit me and be a good improvement on my 9800GTX methinks.

Whenever I think about buying a new video card I am tempted to go over to the dark side but these driver shenanigans always seem to confirm I've made the right choice sticking with Nvidia ;)

But I have to say it's a close call, ATI are at their best for years just lately.

I been thinking about the 460s in SLI as they spank a 480.

Also, that isn't all that true. Duel card is all well and good until you have a game that dont play nice with SLI... ;)

480 + AA is a 'spanking' to the 460 SLI. 768mb VRAM is still half that of the 480's 1536mb. ;)

2x 460's use even more power than a 480!

i was thinking exactly the same thing before i got my 480, but i cba with the extra issues that SLI brings.
