Atari Scrabble 2.0 and display settings

I have a Dell 8500 notebook with a screen setting of 1680 x 1050
running XP SP1. I recently purchased the Scrabble game from Atari.
It will not run if the modem is connected and complains about the
screen size and actually tells me to set it to the size I already
have. Atari told me to resize the screen to 800 x 600. It works fine
now but this is very annoying as it moves my icons to places I don't
want them. Not to mention having to resize in the first place.
Obviously I resize after playing.

Is there a way to perform these functions in a batch file to automate
the process?

Basically I feel this is poor programming to not take into
consideration screen size and adjust accordingly. A hint should have
been the instructions referring to Win3.1 and 98SE.

Any help or suggestions?

Hi Jim,

This neat little utility should do the job quite nicely:
