I'll be looking for that. I wanted to wait until someone
else tried it first :))

I installed MSAS onto a Windows 2003 SP1 server and detected no problems in
MSAS caused by the service pack update. I updated the definitions
successfully and ran a full scan successfully. All tools and security agents
show up and seem to be functional. The system tray icon is present,
correctly colored and responds to double-clicking and right-clicking. At
first glance, if anyone needs to run MSAS on a Windows 2003 server with SP1,
there should not be a problem. I will not be testing it against Exchange or
SQL however, so good luck with that.

Hi John,
Thanks for the report. OTOH, I don't do any surfin' with my server toys. :)

I don't surf on mine either - but you know it's going to get asked anyway.

How did the test with Windows 2003 Server go? Any
problems? How effective is the MS Anti-spyware?

Installation, configuration and operation went fine. It plays nice with
MSDE 200 and Windows Server Update Service RC and Seems to be fully capable.
I did not however try to get the server infected.

And it can be done from a server as there are always some admins by-passing
rules when there is a problem (never tried to download a patch?).
Sure you won't but the one working during holidays or...
