another quick remote desktop question

sorry, one more question... maybe a stupdi one (yeah,
there are some). when i head out for vacation, do I need
to leave my computer ON to connect to it remotely? Or,
can I enable remote desktop and then shut down?

You need to have Remote Desktop connections enabled and leave your computer
on. Make sure if you have the Internet Connection Firewall turned on that
you have tcp port 3389 open so that your attempts to get in to your computer
will be allowed.

Also note that if you don't have a broadband connection that's always on,
viz. modem or dsl. You will need to connect to your ISP and leave that
connection running (and hope that you don't get disconnected while you are
away).
