Anchor in Text Box

Frontpage 2000; I am trying to put text into a text box.
When it is displayed in IE the text is off to the right.
Have formated the text to center and help says to go into
FormatAutoShape to the TextBox tab and select anchor point
then click the position you want the text to start in.
Well I do not have the anchor point in the TextBox tab.
Please can anyone help?
