'An unexpected error has occurred' using a distribution list

This error keeps occurring. I have deleted the distribution list and
re-created it but to no avail. Any suggestions???

I believe all the email addresses in the list to be valid and did re-create
the list with the same name. I haven't tried recreating under a different
name. I need a suggestion asap. Thanks.

I had the same problem and just now figured it out.
My new distribution list did not exist. THAT is when I put the list
name in the to field, the OLD list name was coming up (which was very
similar to the new list name). once I limited it to the new list name,
all was fine.

The posts here were made two years ago. However, I was having the problem described. By following the steps in the second post, I was able to get the problem resolved.
