AMD64 bit XP fails to connect to internet?

Hi folks,

Just had to fdisk my pc so thought I would try out the latest 64bit
offering. All installs ok, but I cannot connect to the net. My pc
connects to the net over the lan/router. Appears to be getting ip
address/gateway etc all ok.

Reverted back to XP Pro 32bit, and it works fine so gone back again to
XP64bit and still not working.

Installed VMWare 4.5.2 and created a virtual XP Pro 32bit machine and
it connects fine.

Any suggestions?
