ALL user on local machine attempting to backup single user's application data

Bill Lampman

Hi,

I have just logged in as a local administrator on an XP Pro client;
win2k
advanced server. When logging out the machine attempted to backup a
network user's application data. I have checked, several times, the group
policy for application data redirection (not configured) and have check -
via
rsop.msc at the client computer. *.dbx is excluded.

Why are all users atemtping to backup a single user's data ?

confused,

Bill

Bill,

When you say backing-up are you talking about the Synchronise message
coming up as you logon and logoff the machine ? The I would recommend that
you look in the Accessories Synchronise tool to investigate if anything is
set to Sync. If anything has been configured by any user it will trigger
when all users log on and off. You could disable offline files on the
machine or reset the database with the following procedure.

This functionality is build in but hidden. On the client hold down "control"
and "Shift" at the same time before clicking the delete files button in the
Offline files tab. This will remove all records of shares and files from the
local machine in the cache.
