The driver is from Microsoft (defaults) and the device from ADS. It has a CD
ROM drive in it and the SBP2 IEEE 1394-compatible device driver also loads
from Microsoft but with no problems reported by device manager. The error
code for the ADS Technologies_Inc. 1394 Storage+Repeater device is reported
as 43. Uninstalling and rebooting does not seem to help. It worked fine as
a CD Burner or ROM drive prior to some recent updates from Automatic Updates.
I have not installed Service Pack 2 yet as I have been unsuccessful in
getting SP2 to completely install and I don't want to break my PC at home.
Can someone tell me how to get Windows to recognize this device properly?
Thank you! (manufacturer was no help and says drivers provided by Microsoft
are only drivers needed.)
