Administrator account does not have administrator privileges

Hi,

I'm totally desperate. I've just reinstalled my WinXP Pro on my PC. I'm the only user on that PC so there is two accounts with administrator privileges: Administrator and Ivo (this one I use for log in). The problem occurs when I need to perform some action in my programs, but they keep saying that I don't have administrator privileges. When I look at those 2 accounts a bit closer, I'm unable to determine whether or not they are members of Administrators group because in that case I get an error saying 'Server service is not running'.

Please help me to locate the problem. If you need to supply an additional information, feel free to ask.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Ivo

Right-click My Computer and select Manage. Click Local Users and Groups,
double-click Groups, double-click Administrators. Who is in the
Administrator's group ?

What is the title of the dialog box in which you see the error message
"Server service is not running ?"

Two items: Administrator and Ivo.

The tile is "Local users and groups". Maybe it is worth mentioning that I set the admin password during the installation. A while ago I logged in as Administrator and cleared the password entirely, but the things are still the same. Any idea?
