Address Book not showing all contacts with fax numbers

Something has gone haywire without reason, I am using XP Pro, Outlook 2003,
and the fax component part of XP.
I have been using this for several months and normally select the addressee
and fax number from the address book inside fax wizard.
For whatever reason, the address book no longer shows existing names with
fax numbers, it seems to have defaulted to showing only those with e-mail
addresses and inserts the e-mail address.
If I enter a new record for an existing fax contact, it will then pick up
that new record of the fax number.
Any idea what's going on ?

It sounds as if the Outlook Address Book Service has lost its connection to
your original Contacts Folder. See if it has. See how many Contacts Folders
exist in your profile and how your Outlook Address Book is configured.

You'll have to do the digging. I can't solve it from here. Only you know
what has changed on your system and how your Outlook Address Book is
configured. Are your Fax numbers resolved in each of your Contact Records?
Is Outlook still set as your default Mail and Contacts Manager?
