I was changing some fields (ie. To, From, Sent etc) and I
don't remember which one's I changed but now the Inbox
won't show content, it just shows a gray screen with the
message below. I've tried everything including service
pack updates, and even uninstalling and reinstalling and
still can't get the Inbox to work...help!

Message shown when clicked on Inbox.

Unable to display the selected folder or item. Could not
complete the operation. One or more parameter values are
not valid.

You must have corrupted your views then. Start Outlook by Start-> Run; "path
to Outlook" /cleanviews to reset your views

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly.
However I tried what you said: by going to start, then
run, then browsing to Outlook, and adding "/cleanviews"
afterwards and I get an error:

"Windows canot find 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE/cleanviews'. Make sure you
typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search
for a file, click the start button, and then click Search"

Did I type something incorrectly, I tried a few different
ways with the slashes, and also Windows added some
quotation marks around the entire path which I didn't
know what to do with so I removed the quote at the
after...OUTLOOK.EXE and put after /cleanviews.

Thanks Again

I had some trouble figuring out exactly where/how to do
the "cleanviews" command so I did a search on the
Microsoft Webpage "cleanviews" and it said to just go
to "start" then "Run" and type in verbatim:

"outlook /cleanviews"

And everything was back to normal...yahhoooooo!

Thanks Again!
