Windows Vista Acronis True Image for Free

If you own a Seagate or Maxtor hard drive, you can download their "DiscWizard" software - basically a free version of Acronis True Image (that costs around $50!).

I'm installing this now, and it looks almost exactly the same as True Image, only free for many people :thumb:

Worth a download if you have one of these drives and need to make backups :nod:

Well I just downloaded it and I don't have a Maxtor or Seagate drive, wonder if it will let me install ..;)

Only Maxtor drives I have are small IDE drives that I have in my swappable caddies, 20Gb & 60Gb.

How does the software verify ownership?

Have not tried the free software but Acronis True Image is the biz. Very good for dual booting with linux etc.
