Sorry for the double post but I thought perhaps a new
thread on this subject would be more appropriate.
Microsoft and I have been attempting to discover why these
links that are now being used by the updates bring up
an "unable to display page" error in IE6. This causes the
autoupdate to fail after scanning as the page cannot be
found and generates an incorrect error code (Error
0x800C0005) in the update log and (0x800A138F) on the
update site. Neither codes are relevant as the related
knowledge base articles have to do with software not
installed on the OS like SQL server and other fixes that
have all been tried with no result. The basic issue seems
to be that the above links cannot be accessed from this
computer. Any suggestions. Good luck.
