Sorry for the double post but I thought perhaps a new
thread on this subject would be more appropriate.
Microsoft and I have been attempting to discover why these
links that are now being used by the updates bring up
an "unable to display page" error in IE6. This causes the
autoupdate to fail after scanning as the page cannot be
found and generates an incorrect error code (Error
0x800C0005) in the update log and (0x800A138F) on the
update site. Neither codes are relevant as the related
knowledge base articles have to do with software not
installed on the OS like SQL server and other fixes that
have all been tried with no result. The basic issue seems
to be that the above links cannot be accessed from this
computer. Any suggestions. Good luck.

...and for those of us who don't get that error message - a waste of Bandwidth. If you have any 'tips' please provide a URL instead of posting...

With that diminuative line of reasoning all posts are a
waste of bandwidth. I for one don't get all the error
messages of other posters nor the problems but I do have
constructive assistance. By the way I did post URLs you
simpleton. If you don't have assistance or help then
kindly stop wasting bandwidth yourself idiot. In short
will help or shutup.

Kindly refrain from wasting bandwith and post space with
displays of inferior intellect Will. Good luck.

It is a real shame that yourself and a lot of other posters, don't post correct solutions. It's a bummer having to clear up your 'mess'.

All the very best.

This would have been amusing had you known the difference
between sole and soul. Good luck.

I have been unable to access the Windows Update site for about 2 1/2 weeks.
Always get the "Cannot Display Page" Message but without the Error No. Have
tried every suggested fix that I can find with no luck.
I think probably that Microsoft right now endlessly working on security
fixes for their sites and nobody can keep up with it.
