9700 = 9700 Pro?

I just bought a Powercolor 9700 np to replace a 9500 Pro that I had to RMA.
But in device manager the card comes up as a 9700 Pro! Not that I mind or
anything... but why is this? I'm using Catalyst 3.5 drivers. I have my FSB
overclocked by about 5%. Could the overclocking be what is making the card
look like a Pro when it isn't?

No, to have it recognised as a Pro it would read as such the cards BIOS. You
must have just got lucky!

That's incredible! Are you sure about that? Any utilities I can run to
confirm? Not that I don't think you know what you're talking about, but it
just seems too good to be true. There's an $80 difference between the two
cards! Woot!

It must be the BIOS telling Windows that - I've got a Radeon 9800
non-pro and Windows says my card is a 9800 Pro... The clocks are
slower than the 9800 Pro, but otherwise the card is recognized as the
Pro version...
