802.1x??

Has anyone been successful in getting 802.1x working under XPe? With known
working hardware, under XPe the system never answers the
EAP-request/identity message. No error shown, just waits around until the
access point gives up on it. Not missing any components I can think of that
would make a difference, really starting to wonder about basic support??

Thanks,

I've seen it working when doing basic feature testing on a wireless laptop
before. I have no idea what the scenario was that was deployed to it but it
connected to a WAP as well as to another laptop.

Sorry it's not much help, i'm not a wireless expert <grin>

Well I'll answer my own question.

Enable User Interface/Show Notifications on Task Bar to get 802.1x to work.
Seems that when it can't put up the silly little pop-up windows for wireless
stuff happening, it doesn't work.

Doesn't make a lot of sense for a headless platform, but whatever works I
guess.

Thanks for the feedback, i'll note that and check on that behavior for SP2.
