I've just run 3D Mark 2006, and boy did it crawl - in both the demo and testing. Some scenes were at about 0.5 FPS! I'd like to think I have a semi-decent PC, so this was a bit of a shock. All of this was without any AA, AF etc...

1850 3D Marks
SM 2.0 941
CPU Score 1017

Specs:

Intel Prescott 3.4Ghz CPU with HT enabled, 1MB cache
2GB Ram (DDR2 3200, 3-3-8)
ATI X850XT PE 256MB (stock speeds)
Audigy 2

No doubt about that, but the frame rate was so bad you couldn't enjoy it. You must need the absolute highest end system to make the most of it. 9FPS was about the MAX I got in one of the demos.

I'd like to know how well CITech's rig runs it. That must be one of the best systems owned by someone who visits PCR.

What have I got to try running? :D

Thanks for the compliment - have to admit to being quite proud of it, but it was never intended to be a graphics or gaming system. It's just pure "grunt" which I require peridoically, but I'm always up for a challenge (or giggle depending on the results!);)

Someone tell me what they want and I will see what I can do :thumb:

No presure mate i was just curious as to the score your rig puts out with this new 3Dmark.But i know you dont do gaming and its a big d/l so dont feel that you have too.

As an added bonus, maybe it'll slow your WCG points down a bit and stop you catching me for a bit longer when it runs!! only joking :p

:)

I wouldn't mind running it, but I think it said you need at least 256mb on your graphics card...

so it wouldn't run with 128?

OK, I succumbed! I gave up valuable crunching time to try the tests, and I got me some results.

The only problem is ....... I have no idea how to interpret them ! *the geek slopes away to the corner to hide his embarrassed face!*

Before I post, will someone tell me which way they work. Is a high score good or bad? Who cares, here's the results anyway, but I'd still like an interpretation.

Ta muchly!

Edit: And just incase anyone cares, I didn't switch off any services or utilities apart from WCG ....
