2nd user cannot see cdrw backup drive

We have currently loaded a backup program which works
quite well when logged in as user 1.

The problem occurs when user 2 is logged in and whn they
go to back up using the cdrw they cannot see the drive.

Any suggestions

It sounds like a driver problem. Check your CDRW vendor for an update to
the drivers for their hardware.
